Talking about the Development of Electrophoretic Coating Technology

First, mechanized transport mode of electrophoresis

1.1E-DIP roll immersion mode and multi-function shuttle mode

E-DIP roll immersing mode and multi-function shuttle mode can realize 360° turning of the body. Different groove angles and flip angles can be set according to different models, which can effectively reduce the amount of bath liquid and air bubbles. Different treatment processes are set for the vehicle to make the inner and outer paint films more uniform. However, compared with the C-type hook pusher method, the equipment has high complexity and large investment and maintenance costs.

1.2 fixed C-type hook push rod chain

The fixed C-type hook pusher chain is being developed toward the swing rod C-type hook pusher chain, while the 4-wheel pusher spreader is transformed to the 3-wheel pusher spreader. The angle of the groove of the fixed C-type hook push rod is generally fixed at 25° or 30°, and the angle of the chain of the swing rod C-type push rod is fixed at 25° to 45°. In this way, the length of the entire pretreatment electrophoresis device will be greatly shortened, the volume of the tank body will also be reduced, the distance of the empty spreader returning to the conveyor chain is greatly shortened, and the energy load is reduced. Compared with the C-type hook pusher chain of the fixed C-type hook pusher chain, the pitch is significantly reduced; the 3-wheel pusher spreader is significantly shorter than the 4-wheel pusher spreader.

Second, the application of pretreatment electrophoresis line iron powder and anti-particle technology

2.1 Application of various spray methods

2.1.1 The recent production line hot water sprinkler system mode is changed from high pressure (10kg/m2) spray method to torrent (500mL/min) spray method. It is proved that most of the welded white body solder joints are at the bottom of the vehicle body. After this improvement, the cleaning effect is significantly improved.

2.1.2 The spray after phosphating is changed from ordinary spraying method to high pressure (10kg/m2) or medium pressure (5kg/m2) + medium flow (50mL/min) spray spray. It has been proved that it can be more effectively after the transformation. Remove the phosphating slag attached to the surface of the vehicle body.

2.2 The use of magnetic bars

Since the welding slag has the greatest influence on the surface of the coated product, the removal of the slag is one of the focuses of the pre-painting electrophoresis work. It must have not only a large flow rate or a high and medium pressure sprinkler system, but also a de-ironing powder. Special equipment (especially hot water tanks and degreasing tanks) can place a large number of magnetic rods in the tank auxiliary tank to remove the iron powder in the tank and reduce the secondary pollution.

2.3 Development of surface flow and circulation of bath

2.3.1 The surface flow control of the phosphating tank is very important, which can prevent the phosphating sediment from adhering on the surface of the vehicle body and make the phosphating film uniform. Currently, the surface of the sump is provided with a surface flow to the surface of the whole tank. The direction of the flow is developing.

2.3.2 The electrophoresis tank circulation mode is cyclically changed from the parallel direction of the vehicle body to the convection direction of the vehicle body. Practice shows that this transformation can significantly reduce the number of paint film particles.

Third, electrophoresis secondary flow mark pretreatment technology

The coating film’s electrophoresis secondary flow marks are not only subject to manual grinding, but also bring the particle source (grinding dust) again. To this end, many companies take precautionary measures against the secondary flow marks of electrophoresis. For example, an air shower device is added before the workpiece enters the baking furnace, and the residual liquid in the gap is blown out by the wind. At present, more implementations include: electrophoresis tank fresh ultrafiltration spray, 30~50°C circulating pure water spray, additional hump draining section and preheating air shower 100°C×(3~5)min, Effectively remove the electrophoresis liquid remaining in the weld, reducing the occurrence of the secondary flow mark failure point.
